Your tour begins in the city of Bucaramanga. Upon arrival at Palonegro International Airport, we will transport you to our clubhouse to have your bike prepared at one of the city’s premier shops.
Enjoy a premium coffee and a brief city tour before we transfer to our hotel in La Mesa de Los Santos for the evening.
We begin with a gravel ride featuring smooth routes and short ascents. Highlights include the Duende Waterfall viewpoint, pine forests, and a stunning overlook of the Chicamocha River. We will stop for coffee at one of the world’s most renowned coffee farms. The afternoon is yours to explore La Mesa de Los Santos.
Crossing the Canyon After a short ride in La Mesa, we descend toward the Chicamocha River on a 14.5 km gravel road to Jordan. Here, we will rest, enjoy natural pools, and savor a typical regional lunch. We then take a boat to Las Juntas, a unique location within the canyon, before transferring to our hotel in Barichara.
Optional Activity: White water rafting on the Chicamocha River (Difficulty 4/5).
Departing from the hotel, we ride to Villanueva via an alternate route featuring stone workshops and colonial architecture. We descend to Guane for a picnic in the main park before returning to Barichara. Enjoy a scheduled activity in town during the afternoon.
Prepare for the most challenging day on the bike. We descend from Barichara to the Suárez River before beginning the ascent to Zapatoca, passing through the towns of Galán and La Fuente. Upon arrival in Zapatoca, we will check into the hotel and explore the town’s historic sites.
The last day of our tour! After breakfast, we will head to the airport to begin the journey home. It has been a pleasure sharing the best cycling routes and experiences in Santander, Colombia. We hope you return soon for more adventures. Stay tuned for future destinations!
